Composed by George Gershwin for the score of the 1924 musical “Lady, Be Good,” “The Man I Love” is a jazz standard. Since it's been covered by Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Benny Goodman, Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughan and Dinah Washington.

Here's Canadian native Oscar Peterson performing his particularly upbeat rendition, in which he adds tons of flair. Peterson would win eight Grammy awards during his six-decade career.
