Written by Billy Strayhorn in 1941, “Chelsea Bridge” has since become a jazz standard. Over the subsequent years it would be covered by jazz greats like Keith Jarrett, Ben Webster, Wynton Marsalis, Ella Fitzgerald – and of course Duke Ellington.

Within five years Ben Webster actually settled down in Copenhagen.

Personnel:

Ben Webster, sax
Stan Tracey, piano
Ricky Laird, bass
Jackie Doogan, drums
