Seattle, 2011

Arturo Sandoval is featured with his band at KPLU studios in Seattle for a January 13, 2011 performance.

As a boy Arturo Sandoval began studying classical trumpet at the Cuban National School of Arts earning a place in Cuba's all-star national band at age sixteen.

Sandoval's own style owes much to the music of his mentor Dizzy Gillespie.
