Here are four luminaries in their own rights playing 'The Promise' by John Coltrane. This performance was recorded at Perugia's San Francesco al Prato church.

Marsalis has one nine Grammys and a Pulitzer. Redman has won the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition. Christian McBride has won three Grammys. And in the 2013 ECHO Jazz Awards, category of "International Artist of the Year Drums/Percussion" Brian Blade took home an award of his own.
