Why were we "off the air" for eight hours Thursday?

We're back up and running and I wish I could tell you what happened, but I don't know. However, I do know we'll be getting a bill from my programmer for putting things right.

If anyone feels inclined to chip in and help with this extraordinary expense (about two weeks net revenue up in smoke), we'd appreciate it. Every little bit helps a lot.

"Jazz Scene USA"

The "Cannonball Adderley Sextet" perform on a 1963 episode of "Jazz Scene USA"

Cannonball Adderley, alto sax
Nat Adderly, trumpet
Yusef Lateef, tenor sax, oboe, & flute
Joe Zawinal, piano
Sam Jones, bass
Louis Hayes, drums

Yes, magnificent jazz like this was once broadcast on American television.

Adderley's interest in musical education came to fruition when he narrated the 1961 Riverside Records release "A Child's Introduction to Jazz".
