Why were we "off the air" for eight hours Thursday?

We're back up and running and I wish I could tell you what happened, but I don't know. However, I do know we'll be getting a bill from my programmer for putting things right.

If anyone feels inclined to chip in and help with this extraordinary expense (about two weeks net revenue up in smoke), we'd appreciate it. Every little bit helps a lot.

A gem from Belgian TV

Coleman Hawkins, tenor sax
Georges Arvanitas, piano,
Mickey Baker, guitar
Jimmy Woode, bass
Kansas Fields, drums

O "Bean", how great thou art.

Here's what his musical peers had to say about him:

"As far as I'm concerned, I think Coleman Hawkins was the President first, right? As far as myself, I think I'm the second one." - Lester Young

"When I heard Hawk, I learned to play ballads." - Miles Davis

I could study his solo on this for a year and not get to the bottom of it.
