It's not often I can't find something on the Internet, but the watermark "Music Air" on the upper left of this video is a mystery. No clue who this was.

About the John Coltrane tune Harrison plays:

"Giant Steps" was the composition that launched what later became known as Coltrane's "sheets of sound" style. Since then, mastering the harmonic intricacies has become a must for all saxophone players.

The album by the same name was a landmark for Coltrane's career. "Trane's first genuinely iconic record" according to the Penguin History of Jazz.

Atlantic was a brand new label then and the album was Coltrane's first date for them. Principal recording took place two weeks after the final session for Miles Davis' Kind of Blue which Coltrane appeared on.

Shortly afterwards, the label also recorded the first albums of Ornette Coleman after the two he made for Contemporary.

1959 was an amazing year for jazz.
