Featuring Paul Gonsalvez

Paul Gonsalvez is featured performing "Diminuendo and Crescendo in Blue" with the "Duke Ellington Orchestra" during the early 1960s.

Tenor saxophonist, Paul Gonsalvez plays a recreation of the twenty-seven chorus solo that he performed to great acclaim at the 1956 Newport Jazz Festival.

The amazing original, credited with reviving Ellington's career, was captured for posterity and released on the live album "Ellington at Newport" the same year it was recorded.

Please share your favorite videos with your friends and colleagues

That's how we grow.
