Ed Thigpen

Legendary Jazz Drummer Ed Thigpen passed away on January 13th. Ed had a wonderful career performing with the Billy Taylor trio, Oscar Peterson trio and touring with Ella Fitzgerald for many years. Thigpen settled in Copenhagen later in his life. While in Denmark he continued playing with the likes of Alice Babs, Kenny Drew, Clark Terry, Milt Jackson, Monty Alexander and Thad Jones.
