Singer Francis Albert "Frank" Sinatra was born December 12, 1915 in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Born to Italian immigrants, Sinatra began listening to jazz and big band music in his early childhood. He idolized Bing Crosby most of all.

As a teenager, Sinatra worked in several vocal groups, and made $15 per week as a singing waiter in a New Jersey diner.

By 1941, Sinatra was the most commercially successful male singer in the U.S.

This singing waiter never learned how to read music, but he clearly knew how to make it.

Frank Sinatra performs "You Make Me Feel So Young" at a 1962 concert at London's Royal Festival Hall.

The tune was written by Josef Myrow and Mack Gordon for the 1946 film Three Little Girls in Blue. As is the case for many popular songs, Sinatra's recording is its best-known version. "You Make Me Feel So Young" originally appeared on his 1956 album Songs for Swingin' Lovers, one the singer's most acclaimed LPs.
