Turner's stride
Joe Turner performs a stride piano piece for French TV during the 1960s.
Joseph H. Turner not to be confused with the singer was a master of the Harlem stride piano style.
He joined the Benny Carter Orchestra in 1928 and also played with Louis Armstrong.
Tuner moved to Europe following World War II and later settled in Paris where he remained musically active until his death in 1990 at age 82.
