Why were we "off the air" for eight hours Thursday?

We're back up and running and I wish I could tell you what happened, but I don't know. However, I do know we'll be getting a bill from my programmer for putting things right.

If anyone feels inclined to chip in and help with this extraordinary expense (about two weeks net revenue up in smoke), we'd appreciate it. Every little bit helps a lot.

"Jazz Casual"

Sonny Rollins and Jim Hall are featured performing on the TV show "Jazz Casual" in 1962.

Sonny Rollins, tenor sax
Jim Hall, guitar
Bob Cranshaw, bass
Ben Riley, drums

The late '50s proved to be a prosperous time for Jim Hall. He taught at the Lenox School of Jazz, toured with Jazz at the Philharmonic, and worked with Ben Webster and Bill Evans all in 1959 alone.

His activities during the early 60s included collaborations with Lee Konitz, Art Farmer, and Sonny Rollins.
