Why were we "off the air" for eight hours Thursday?

We're back up and running and I wish I could tell you what happened, but I don't know. However, I do know we'll be getting a bill from my programmer for putting things right.

If anyone feels inclined to chip in and help with this extraordinary expense (about two weeks net revenue up in smoke), we'd appreciate it. Every little bit helps a lot.

Jones: March 28, 1923 August 21, 1986

This is footage of the "Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra," a group co-led by a former Count Basie Orchestra member trumpeter, Thad Jones.

Jones can be seen here playing flugelhorn, with drummer Mel Lewis performing an updated version of W.C. Handy's classics composition. This was filmed sometime during the late mid-1960s.
