One of the great virtuosos of the electric bass, Victor Wooten came to fame with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones which he joined in 1987.

At the same time, Wooten has had a busy solo career and continued to grow as a musician.

An unaccompanied version of “Amazing Grace” has been a regular part of Wooten’s performances during the past 15 years.

In this film, Wooten plays the melody fairly straight at first, gets funky to the delight of the audience, solos over the crowd’s handclapping, and gradually speeds up the tempo while always being rhythmic and creative, ending with the famous theme.
