This 1995 documentary explores Oscar Peterson's music, life and legacy as one of the greatest pianists in the history of jazz.

Peterson began his career as a teenage boogie-woogie sensation in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec. After recording for Victor in the late '40s, Peterson was noticed by jazz impresario Norman Granz, who helped him enter the professional jazz world. Shortly after, Peterson formed his famous trio.

The movie features archival footage and photographs, interviews with Peterson and his colleagues, and a full set from the classic Oscar Peterson Trio with Ray Brown and Herb Ellis.
