Sheldon sings a classic that is full of truth

Jack Sheldon has been a major trumpeter since the 1950s and a personable singer since the ‘60s.

While much less active during the past decade due to a stroke, Sheldon’s recordings are still enjoyed by a countless number of jazz fans for their swing, sly wit, and joy.

In 2002 he was showcased on “A Jazz Musician’s Christmas” which finds him singing some very truthful lyrics about the real (and not so glamorous) life of a jazz musician, a lifestyle full of ups and downs.

Sheldon’s singing and his concise trumpet solo, which are accompanied by the rhythm section from the Tom Kubis Orchestra, are timeless.
