One of the finest jazz singers teams up with the Slide Hampton Big Band

During the past decade, Roberta Gambarini has consistently been one of the top jazz vocalists, displaying a beautiful voice, a wide range, and a mastery of the bebop vocabulary, being equally skilled as a scat-singer and an interpreter of ballads.
She is heard in the latter category on this wonderful film clip, singing “Stardust” in 2007 while joined by a big band arranged and conducted by trombonist Slide Hampton.
