What's this about?

The place is Cateura, Paraguay, where a violin costs more than a house.

If that's the case, then how are kids going to learn music?

This is where resourcefulness comes in. One of the local men who makes his living sorting through trash at the landfill and re-selling it taught himself how to make musical instruments from the materials he finds there.

Others came into the community and taught the children classical music and gave them opportunities to learn and play.

Where there's a will, there's a way - and music will find a way.

Their circumstances may not be "dignified", but the community in this video has more dignity and true nobility than you'll find in any one hundred palaces.
