A fine alto solo on a Charlie Parker song
Dwayne and Dwight Bosman were originally taught the saxophone by their father Lloyd Smith who had played alto and flute with Earl Hines.
By the time they were 14, they were performing as the Bosman Twins.
This film clip (the first of two parts) features one of the Bosmans taking a fine alto solo in a quartet that also includes keyboards and guitar, playing “Dewey Square” and a Charlie Parker song based on “Lady Be Good.”
