Here Sonny Boy Williamson performs "Keep It To Yourself" in 1963.
Sonny Boy Williamson – born Alex Miller – was a blues harmonica legend straight out of Mississippi. His biggest hit was without question “Don't Start Me To Talkin'” – ratcheting up nearly to the top of the Billboard Rhythm and Blues chart.
If you're a “Who” fan, you might recognize his work “Eyesight to the Blind,” which they covered in their rock opera “Tommy.” Williamson would also influence Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers. The Band was quite lucky to get a chance to jam with him.
Personnel:
Otis Spann, piano
