Featuring Lionel Hampton

Benny Goodman is featured performing with his all-star band during the early 1980s.

Personnel:

Benny Goodman, clarinet
Lionel Hampton, vibes
Teddy Wilson, piano

Gene Krupa, drums

Undisputed "King of Swing" Benny Goodman traveled to New York in the late 1920s where he rose from a mere session musician to become one of the most successful bandleaders in jazz history.

"Moonglow" composed in 1933 by Will Hudson and Irving Mills, with words by Eddie DeLange has since become a jazz standard. Goodman first recorded the tune in 1934 accompanying Ethel Waters.

"I'm a Ding Dong Daddy (From Dumas)" was written and composed by Phil Baxter.
