Germany, 1987

Doc Cheatham is featured performing with Arnett Cobb during a live German TV broadcast in 1987 and accompanied by the "Barrelhouse Jazz Band."

Later in life Doc would make an assessment of his own playing in an attempt to remove all trademark clichés from his style.

In 1977 he unwittingly launched a successful singing career during a recording session with Sammy Price's band with a couple of choruses of "What Can I Say Dear After I Say I'm Sorry."

Set List:

1 "I Want A Little Girl"
2 "Keep On Punchin'"

Doc Cheatham, trumpet & vocals
Arnett Cobb, tenor sax
Al Grey, trombone
Horst Schwarz, trumpet
Reimer von Essen, clarinet, alto sax
Frank Selten, reeds
Agi Huppertsberg, piano
Bernd K. Otto, guitar
Lindi Huppertsberg, bass
H. G. Klauer, drums
