Earl "Fatha" Hines performs an entire solo piano set at the Montreux Jazz Festival in July 1974.
Hines toured extensively throughout the 1960s and '70s delighting audiences far and wide with his trumpet-style piano. This name was given to his approach because of its tendency to follow and incorporate horn lines.
Accompanied with the nuance of the occasional grunt from Earl, this is jazz piano at it's finest.
