Australian TV, 1989

Emily Remler appears on Australian TV in May 1989 performing her interpretation of the Sonny Rollins' classic "Tenor Madness".

The tune was written by Sonny Rollins for the album of the same name featuring John Coltrane.

For those who don't know Emily's work, she was immensely well respected by jazz players.

For example, she shared stages with Larry Coryell and Rosemary Clooney. In her mid twenties, she toured for several years as an accompanist to Brazilian samba singer Astrud Gilberto.

Elder jazz guitarists Joe Pass and Herb Ellis thought the world of her for reasons which are obvious when you hear her play.
