This footage was filmed at the "Django a la Creole" CD release concert held at Le Quecumbar in London, August 2008. Django a la Creole is comprised of Evan Christopher clarinet, Dave Kelbie acoustic guitar, Dave Blenkhorn electric guitar, and Sebastien Girardot doublebass.
In the aftermath of the Katrina disaster in 2005 New Orleans clarinetist Evan Christopher temporarily relocated to Paris focusing his efforts on performing and sharing the music for which his home town is best known. He organized a band calling them selves "Django a la Creole" debuting in August 2007 with concerts in Great Britain and Norway. Evan has since moved back to New Orleans as of December 2010 and continues on his mission to keep his city and it's rich musical heritage going strong.
