The remarkable Fats Waller was not only a great pianist, singer and comic personality but a masterful composer and jazz’s first organist.

In 1941 Waller was filmed for four numbers which came out as Soundies.

“Your Feet’s Too Big,” which was actually introduced by the Ink Spots in 1935, became a hit when Waller first recorded it in 1939.

For his Soundie, Waller leads a group that includes trumpeter John Hamilton, clarinetist Gene Sedric and guitarist Al Casey.

Even with all of the activity, Waller’s facial expressions steal the show.
