Jazz on the Tube needs you

Our labor of love costs real money, about $1,500 a month in out-of-pocket expenses...

And that doesn't count the time put into sourcing videos, writing them up, and maintaining the world's biggest and most accurate database of jazz festivals, jazz clubs, jazz radio and jazz education on the Internet.

This July 4th consider becoming a Friend of Jazz on the Tube.

Flamenco on Corea

Michel Camilo and Tomatito perform a duet rendition of Chick Corea's composition "Spain."

Michel Camilo, piano
Tomatito, guitar

Dominican pianist Michel Camilo's 2000 LP collaboration with guitarist Tomatito "Spain" was the winner of "Best Latin Jazz Album" at the first Latin Grammy Awards.

Spanish flamenco guitarist José Fernández Torres, known professionally as Tomatito, became a sensation after being discovered by Paco de Lucia.

He served as an accompanist to singer Camarón de la Isla for nearly two decades before launching his solo career in the 1980s.
