Guitarist Jim Hall performs a beautiful solo rendition of the Duke Ellington ballad "In a Sentimental Mood" on French television.

The song, which grew to become one of Ellington's most enduring compositions, was written by the pianist in 1935 and first recorded with his orchestra that same year. Perhaps its most famous rendition is from the album Duke Ellington & John Coltrane, recorded in 1962.
