Juan Tizol is featured playing valve trombone as a member of the "Duke Ellington Orchestra."

Trombonist and composer Juan Tizol joined Duke Ellington's Orchestra in 1929 taking his place alongside Tricky Sam Nanton.

He authored the jazz standards "Caravan", "Pyramid", and "Perdido", still played frequently today.

Juan is best remembered for his enduring compositions and agile trombone solos with Ellington.
