Why were we "off the air" for eight hours Thursday?

We're back up and running and I wish I could tell you what happened, but I don't know. However, I do know we'll be getting a bill from my programmer for putting things right.

If anyone feels inclined to chip in and help with this extraordinary expense (about two weeks net revenue up in smoke), we'd appreciate it. Every little bit helps a lot.

Rhythm and Blues Revue,
Harlem, 1955

This jam session with Lionel Hampton and his band is taken from "The Rhythm and Blues Revue," a musical variety film made at Apollo Theater in Harlem. It featured comedic acts, as well as prominent African-American dancers. Nat King Cole and Cab Calloway would also make appearances at this performance.
