Written by George David Weiss and Bob Thiele, “What a Wonderful World's” singularly most famous, and the original, version was performed by Louis Armstrong and released in 1967.

The composer's intended for the song to counteract the incredibly heightened racial tensions of the late '60s United States. It didn't immediately resonate that well in the states but topped the U.K. pop charts.
