Mississippi native Milt Hinton was a double bassist who lived to see most of the 20th century. He would collaborate with Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman, Ben Webster and Art Tatum.

Nickname “The Judge” - well earned.
