Live Under the Sky Festival,
Japan, 1986

This arrangement having been originally recorded for an eponymous 1977 album of the same name, “Dancing in Your Head” was an Ornette Coleman original. The album marked the first time that Coleman's band branched out into electric instruments.

The year of it's release, Village Voice critics called it one of the best jazz albums of '77. Today many critics consider it among the most essential of all free jazz albums.
