Richard Carpenter composed "Walkin" for Miles Davis, off of the 1954 album of the same name.

Here Jamaican-born pianist Wynton Kelly, a Davis collaborator in his own right, performing the tune with his own trio. When Kelly left Davis' band, the bassist and drummer in this performance left along with him.
