Pepper Adams (1930-86) was one of the greatest jazz baritone-saxophonists of all time, ranking at the top with Harry Carney, Gerry Mulligan, Serge Chaloff and just a few others.
In Aug. 1978 he performed on Swedish television in Stockholm with flugelhornist Clark Terry, pianist Lars Sjosten, bassist Sture Nordin, and drummer Egil Johnansen.
Only the second half of their performance of “Straight No Chaser” exists but it includes a hot solo from Adams, a brief spot for the bassist and a tradeoff with the drummer.
