Leverkusener Jazztage,
Leverkusen, Germany, 2006

Since first encountering each other as University of Oregon students, bassist Glenn Moore and pianist Ralph Towner have been friends. Their unceasing collaborations led them to form the group “Oregon” – which was originally called, Thyme – Music of Another Present Era.

What made Oregon particularly unique was their incorporation of Indian music. And for five years in the late '80s Indian percussionist Trilok Guru remained a regular fixture in Oregon.
