Why were we "off the air" for eight hours Thursday?

We're back up and running and I wish I could tell you what happened, but I don't know. However, I do know we'll be getting a bill from my programmer for putting things right.

If anyone feels inclined to chip in and help with this extraordinary expense (about two weeks net revenue up in smoke), we'd appreciate it. Every little bit helps a lot.

for Bea

The "Sam Rivers Quartet" deliver a 1989 concert performance in Germany.

Sam Rivers, tenor sax
Rael Wesley Grant, bass
Darryl Thompson, guitar
Steve McCraven, drums

Sam Rivers' ability as a composer is evident in his 1980s composition "Beatrice", a tenor saxophone piece written for his wife.

During the early '90s Sam Rivers and his wife Bea relocated from New York to Orlando, Florida. There he regularly lead performances with a jazz orchestra while finding time to work in a trio with Doug Mathews and Anthony Cole.
