The legendary percussionist Willie Bobo performs with his band.

Afro-Cuban jazz percussionist William Correa was a rising star in Spanish Harlem during the 1960s.

Willie rose to prominence playing the timbales which became his favored instrument.

His stage name Willie Bobo was given to him by pianist Mary Lou Williams.

Willie Bobo performed with Tito Puente, George Shearing and was a member of the "Cal Tjader Modern Mambo Quintet" before moving to Los Angles in the early 1970s.
