Adam and Matt Podd, who are based in Brooklyn, know how to put on a show, using every instrument they can get a hand on.

During this entertaining set, Matt plays piano and accordion while Adam is heard on string bass, ukulele, slide whistle, melodica, and piano; both of the Podd Brothers also sing.

Among the numbers heard during their performances of good time music are “When You’re Smiling,” “Mr. Sun,” “You Are My Sunshine,” “I Got Rhythm,” and a couple of songs in which a toddler plays drums,

It makes for a fun hour by a pair of talented brothers.

A powerful soul singer who hits high notes with ease and puts plenty of feeling into every song that she interprets, Shayna Steele is a logical successor to Aretha Franklin.

She was born in California, raised in Mississippi, and is based in New York.

Ms. Steele started out as a background singer, performing with Rihanna, Bette Midler, and Steely Dan before emerging as a solo vocalist with Chris Botti, Snarky Puppy and Moby, displaying the influences and inspiration of Rachelle Farrell, Chaka.Khan and Stevie Wonder on her three CDs.

For her LiveStream of April 2, 2020, Shayna Steele is accompanied by pianist David Cook on a variety of material during which she covers different moods while always coming across as a passionate and powerful singer who can raise the roof on a moment’s notice.
