Pablo Ziegler who is from Argentina, was Astor Piazzolla’s pianist during 1978-89.

Ziegler learned from the master of modern tango and developed his own style in what came to be known as nuevo tango, forming the New Tango Quartet in 1990.

In his career he has blended together his classical training and modern tango with jazz that is inspired by Bill Evans, creating his own lively style and rich melodies.

Ziegler has worked along the way with Gary Burton, Regina Carter, Branford Marsalis, Paquito D’Rivera, Kenny Garrett, Joe Lovano, Randy Brecker, and many symphony and chamber orchestras, leading 14 CDs of his own.

Pablo Ziegler’s solo piano LiveStream from July 29, 2020 is filled with beautiful melodies, impressive technique and inventive yet melodic improvising.
