Taylor Eigsti grew up in Northern California, started playing piano when he was four, and was considered a bit of a prodigy, recording his first album when he was 14 and four by the time he turned 20.

He signed with Concord in 2006, moved to New York in 2008 and has had a busy career performing at many festivals and venues, writing music for orchestras, working with many jazz greats, performing regularly with Eric Harland, Kendrick Scott and Gretchen Parlato, and leading eight albums of his own.

For his LiveStream of June 13, 2020, Taylor Eigsti performs sophisticated solo piano versions of “A Child Is Born,” his original “Tree Falls,” the exciting “Hutcheonite,” a tender “Somewhere,” and an unusual reworking of Neal Hefti’s “Lil’ Darlin’,”
